Sarah Johnston

Sarah Johnston has been a professional photographer since 1987. She started in a home- based studio, in Crystal Lake, IL., while her 2 children were growing up. She quickly developed a strong client base, most of which are still with her today. She has developed a style that keeps things relaxed and natural, to bring out her clients own personality. She is a strong believer in education, and sharing what she has learned over the years, both through personal experience and from some of the leaders both in and outside of the photographic industry.

Sarah has worked hard to earn her Certification through PPA, as well as her Masters and Craftsman degrees. 2006 She was selected for the PPA Print Exhibition Committees list of approved jurors. Her prints have been displayed at National, State and Local conventions, as well as an event in Korea. In both 2005 and 2006 she earned PPA Photographer of the Year Awards. She was also selected to be part of Prof Photographer Magazine's article “Kid Tested, Mother Approved” on children's photography. In 2007 she was awarded The Northern Achievement Award for Photographic Excellence by Professional Photographers of Northern Illinois.
